What drinks should I keep to entertain clients at the office?
I enjoy the idea of old school business offices that allowed men to keep single malts and other alcholic beverages available to offer when they had guest. I work at a very professional office that doesnt allow scotch but I would like to keep the glass set, beverages and maybe even a decanter in my office. What types of drinks should I keep that is almost as cool and interesting as liqueor? Not as bland as water or as common as coke.
What drinks should I keep to entertain clients at the office?
You can’t keep scotch or nothing alcoholic at all?
To be honest the glass set if for things served at room temperature. Scotch, brandy. You could have rum in the set for the same look. You can’t decant anything else–carbonated beverages would lose all the carbonation. Which would be fine for the look as long as you didn’t drink it. Red wine needs a decanter but it must be drank within a day of decanting it.
If you can’t have alcohol at all, go for the regular coke, diet, sprite. Perhaps a few juices. You can go with the bottled grape juice that looks like a wine bottle. I think Snapple is very interesting or flavored water.
If the office was a bit more funky, something like blue koolaid would look awesome in a decanter–very modern– but in a very professional office it may just come across as childish.
Remember that primarily this is for you. I keep a fridge in my office and fill it with what I like to drink–coke and limeade. I love Simply Limeade. Whatever you offer your guests, you have to like it as well. I also keep very nice coffee in my office. I’m picky about my coffee so while everyone else in the office makes it in a huge 42 cup, cheaper than Folger’s coffee, I keep a personal coffee pot and special coffee for me.
