Need a Gaming Computer, but don’t know what processor I need, to play new games like Crysis and Spore?
I was looking at the computers from Dell and I need a gaming computer thats around $900 – $1400.
I copy and pasted the specs of this computer:
XPS 630
GOOD
Intel® Core™2 Q6600 Quad-Core (8MB L2 cache,2.40GHz,1066FSB)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Service Pack 1
No Monitor
Single Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD /-RW) w/double layer write capability
But it says it has a 2.4 GHz, but games like Crysis says it needs a 3.2 GHz so does that mean I can’t play it with this computer?

OK, to start, that config is a “quad-core”, which really means it’s 2.4 multiplied by 4, which is overkill for any game. But the processor doesn’t matter for games that much. I see that you forgot to post the video card, but it happens to be a 9800GT, which is also enough to run Crysis maxed. You’d be set with that computer, or you could build one yourself with similiar specs and save a few hundred bucks.
