How to determine value of an old vintage wine?
Just received a gift of a Beaulieu Vineyard, Geroges de LAtour Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Founders Wine 1963.
Has been stored in ok conditions.
It did not cost me anything, the giver is not knowledgeable of the wine. I would like to try but also want to check and make sure I do not open someting special that has a big value. I am not a wine expert, just enjoy wine.
Can anyone suggest, 1. does this sound like it may have some value, 2. is there a web source that could give a dollar value. Thanks!
you could take it to a reputable wine vender and they should be able to tell you.
